I have been a resident of Plainfield for over 30 years.  AsThird Ward Councilman, I will strive to bring professionalism, competence, and fiscal responsibility back to our town. I am married to my childhood sweetheart, Amelia, and we are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Shermona and Ayisha.

I previously served on the Plainfield City Council as the At-Large Councilman for the 2nd and 3rd Wards from 1998-2004, in addition to leading the council as President during my last term. I also completed a 3-year term as Union County Freeholder.

I currently serve as President of the New Democrats for Plainfield, a grassroots Democratic Club dedicated to promoting honest, ethical leadership and government accountability.  In addition, Amelia and I are members of the Plainfield Democratic City Committee, elected as Representatives in the 3-9 (Third Ward, Ninth District). 

I am a member of Frontiers International Plainfield Area Club, and my family and I are active members of Saint Mark's Episcopal Church.

I belong to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Government Finance Officers Association. I hold an M.B.A. in International Business from Fairleigh-Dickinson University and a B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers. I am also a Certified Municipal Finance Officer, serving the Borough of Roselle.

My term began on January 1, 2009 and ends on December 31, 2012.
